Collect your registration on Sunday, May 19 between 15:00-20:00 and avoid the Monday morning line-ups.

Plan to be on time for the Opening Ceremony. Yoshua Bengio's Plenary talk will start at 9:15 sharp.

While at home

  • If you are an INTERACTIVE SESSION “POD” PRESENTER, please review and respect the presenter guidelines. If you would like to get your poster printed in Montreal, we recommend MP Repro. You can email your request to cad@mprepro.com.

    Message boards will be available in the Bosch International Lounge in the exhibit hall. Feel free to post your job postings / offers and other special announcements.

  • ICRA-X: Robotic Art Program
    ICRA 2019 is proud to be the first international robotic conference to offer a central space to art in its program. ICRA 2019 will address the importance of artistic contributions to the field of robotics research, and to its social and cultural impacts. Robotic art installations, student art creations, a keynote speech and a full-day forum are on the agenda.

    The child care service is provided by KiddieCorp on a daily basis from 08:30-17:30 at a cost of $10 US per hour per child. Please pre-register your child at the below link:

    We want you to be comfortable at all our special events! Our dress code is: NO dress code, simply be comfortable.

  • Know what to pack
    We recommend bringing a range of clothing and dressing in layers. Temperatures in May can range from 10C to 20C. It generally gets chilly in the evenings.

    Electrical outlets are 110 volts (60 cycles) and require this plug.

When landing in Montreal

  • Airport welcome desk
    Upon your arrival, look out for the ICRA welcome desk in the international arrivals hall on May 19 and 20. You can get advice on transportation options to go downtown. This is a great meeting point to arrange for taxi sharing.

    The one-way fare is $10. Coins only, bills are not accepted on the bus. It also provides travelers with a transit pass valid on the STM bus and metro network for the next 24 hours. Most hotels are at stop 7 or 8. A Montreal Bus Card for the entire week, allowing you to use unlimited buses and underground in town, is available at some 25-30 CDN$ (16-17 US$ or Euro). This card can be purchased at the Airport.

    The airport also has a taxi stand. A taxi to downtown is a flat fare of $40 plus 10-15% tip. See on the rear door window behind the driver for the transit authorities’ prescribed flat fare. You have to take the first taxi in the line-up. If you wish to pay by credit card, check with the driver before leaving. No taxi will accept foreign currency.

    Uber is also available from the airport and signage directs you to door 6 on the departure level.

At the conference

  • Bring one piece of official photo ID to collect registration materials on your first day at the Conference. We strongly encourage you to collect your registration materials on May 19 between 15:00-20:00 rather than waiting in line on Monday morning (May 20).

  • The Palais des congrès de Montréal is a smoke-free environment.

  • Take note that substantial media presence from major news outlets is expected.
